Perry Stevens (Lead Vocalist)-Without question, one of the greatest vocalists in rock and roll today who captures the entire essence of the Journey vocal sound. Perry's vocal and song writing talents have taken him around the world, where he has performed for over a million people as an original recording artist with his group Atlantis, and as an entertainer for hundreds of Corporate America events. Perry has also shared the stage and worked, recorded with many great music industry talents, including Gregg Rolie (original member of Santana and Journey), Night Ranger, Y&T, Bon Jovi, Three Dog Night, Jefferson Starship, and many others. Perry continues to captivate and amaze audiences everywhere with his life-like portrayal and vocals of Journey's legendary front-man, Steve Perry.
Ray Potter (Keyboards, Background Vocals) - portrays Gregg Rolie on keyboards with songs like “Just the Same Way”. He is a self taught musician and also plays Guitar and Bass. At age 18, Ray set out on the road and appeared across North America with a number of touring bands. During his musical career Ray has had the privilege of playing in alongside a number of legendary performers from B.B. King to Loverboy. His work in the music industry is not limited to the stage. Ray’s work on film includes a score for Artist and Philosopher Robert Cremeans “Metaphor and Process, The Work of Robert Cremean”. This critically acclaimed piece earned a display at the Smithsonian. Ray also composed and recorded the musical score for the Nelson Chang film “God’s Warrior”. He is a 15 year member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and votes annually in 11 Grammy Awards categories
Damion Mantle (Electric and Acoustic Guitars) -Portrays Neal Schon. Damion is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and the S.F. music scene with a diverse background of musical styling's including rock, metal, jazz, flamenco, classical, blues, and country. Damion is also a graduate of the nationally acclaimed Blue Bear School of Music in San Francisco and has studied with such guitar greats as Michael Lee Firtins and Milan Jacobs. His musical ventures landed him in New Orleans for a spell where he performed and shared stages with the Neville Brothers and the legendary fusion bassist, Stuart Hamm. Damion has been heavily inspired and influenced over the years by Journey's guitar virtuoso, Neal Schon, and not only performs Neal's works with extreme passion and technical accuracy, but brings the colorful characterization of Neal's on-stage persona to JOURNEY UNAUTHORIZED.
DaveSousa (Bass, Vocals) -Portrays Ross Valory along with the vocal styling's of former Journey front-man, Gregg Rolie. Dave plays Ross Valory's signature bass lines note-for-note, does all of the background vocals, and sings all of the lead vocals from Journey's former front-man, Gregg Rolie.Dave Sousa is a true veteran of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene and has performed, toured, and recorded with many well known acts, including Ronnie Montrose, Gamma (featuring Ronnie Montrose and Davey Pattison), Robert Berry, Steve Vai, Robin Trower, Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Lou Graham, Eddie Money, the Doobie Brothers, John Hiatt, Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Tom Cochran, and many others. Marcus brings a wealth of performing experience to JOURNEY UNAUTHORIZED, with a justifiably true representation of Ross Valory and the timeless vocal styling's of Gregg Rolie.
Jimmy Wells (Drums, Percussion) - Jimmy brings to the forefront a vast and diverse array of drum and percussion styles to the JOURNEY UNAUTHORIZED experience. Drawn from many sources of great talent and technicians, Jimmy is grateful and blessed to have been influenced by many of the great rock, progressive, and jazz drummers of our time such as Aynsley Dunbar, Steve Smith, Tommy Aldridge, Neil Peart, Deen Castronova, John Bonham, Jeff Porcaro, and Buddy Rich. He was also very fortunate to have studied with Aynsley Dunbar, Tommy Aldridge, Edward McClary, Mike Curotto and John Riley during his career. A true veteran of the Bay Area music scene, Jimmy has recorded and toured across the states with numerous acts, including a sold out show at the legendary Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan and has shared stages with Rob Halford (“Fight”), Pat Travers, Michael Schenker Group, Y&T, Dokken, and Dave Marino from Montrose to name a few. Now with JOURNEY UNAUTHORIZED, he showcases and emulates the musical and texturized drum styles of some of the greatest rock compositions ever written by one of the most renowned bands in rock history. Executing not only the recorded studio versions of Journey note for note, he duly adds his own expression of drumming styles to Journey's musical renditions with the focus, power, and integrity to ignite live stage performances
